Yep, Steve. I’ve installed systems on embedded micros, PC, mini computers and also mainframes. 48 years in the business…3 years in operations and 45 as a software engineer, programmer etc. BTW, there was no planning on my behalf, the car it was doing an update…I had no say in it really.

It has now tried to update, given me a “complete” message and started all over again the next time I start the car. Going to the dealer tomorrow afternoon. USB port still not available.

it has told me that it was updating (not so), complete and restarted, I think, 8 or 9 times now.
That sounds like the head unit might be having issue. Hope the dealership can fix the problem quickly.

My bluelink is set up to receive notifications. I'll give it a couple of days and check again.
According to the local dealer, there is an update to fix this repeating update issue. She said it takes fours for to download it (no idea what their internet speed is, must be running 16K dial up link 😬). I will go back tomorrow for them to install it…must be done via the USB port.

can anyone who updated confirm the version number?
Well, I never got the update completed. See my other post. From memory, the update was 25/03 something. I should know tomorrow when the dealer fixes my repeatomatic issue. From details that the car showed (when it said it was complete even though it wasn’t), it was just some bug fixes and minor stuff.

Up at the dealer at the moment. I questioned the service manager why it took so long to download whatever the patch is. He said it is more like 90 minutes, then transfer to a flash drive. He said that mine was only the 2nd Tucson that they have seen this problem on. He has about 30 update flash drives for various cars (and trim levels) and does 6 or 7 updates per day. Their internet download speed at the dealership is in the 900 mbps range. Speed issues for downloading, according to him, are at the Hyundai end.

So far, sitting in the dealership, I have seen 26 emails from Bluelink (including multiple at home with a loaner) saying “Update complete” over the last few days. The tech is having issues unless.

Looks they can’t load the update either. They are putting me in a loaner and will be getting in touch with a Hyundai for help.

When I started car today a message came up asking to update. You could choose to do while car was running or later when car was off. I chose to do then and it didn't take 5-7 minutes. The update # is:

NX4A.USA.ccNC.001.002.241209
It adds a widget on the home page to take you to the media page. It also adds some new voice commands. Hope this helps.

Thanks Hokieman,

Not really. The update in my case says it completes to something like 2503.something. It even tells me that it completed Via Bluelink email. Except, it didn’t. Every time I start the car, it wants to do the update again. Repeatomatic. The local dealer cannot get the update to install. I’m in a loaner Santa Cuz at the moment while they get hold of Hyundai tomorrow and ask them WTF.

My Tucson is much nicer and quieter than this Santa Cruz.

Based on your update version….seems like your version is different to what is trying to install in my car. My car is currently 2407.something Version number.

I’ll update if I find out more tomorrow.

each trim has a different version

If you say so. I asked the service manager (who has been in the business 37 years) this question and he didn’t know the answer. Maybe it varies by model. It certainly would behoove Hyundai to minimize firmware differences across version of the same model and maybe across models. The dash layout in 2925 Santa Cruz loaner they provided is very similar to my a Tucson.

Interested to find out the result. I'm having pretty much the same issue.

a Service Manager should know this after 1 year much less 37 :) ...but on the Hyundai site it lists all the various versions. The updated version on my SEL is NX4.USA.ccNC_Lite.001.002.241209

My 2025 Tucson Limited Hybrid just had an infotainment update pushed.

I did a quick search, but can't find any information about the contents of the update. Does anyone know of a website which provides software update details?
My 2025 Tucson Limited Hybrid performed an OTA update on April 1, 2025, during my 8-minute commute to work that morning. The update only took a couple of minutes to complete successfully.

Afterward, it offered me the option to view "What's New" in the update, which I accepted. It provided the same information about the update that is shown below. (By the way, you cannot view the update info while driving.)

You can also access the "What's New" from your infotainment system by navigating to Setup>General>System Info>What's New>Infotainment System Update. Here are two pictures of my screens displaying the "What's New" information regarding the installed update.

You can also find additional information about the Software versions installed by going to Setup>General>Software Info/Update.

I hope this information is helpful.

Just had a call from the Hyundai service manager a few minutes ago. They have fixed my car. They had to do a hard reset of the radio/head unit. Then, the update took. I'm going to head out and pick it up now. I'll report back the new version number once I get back home with it. They say I might "lose" settings in the radio (phone? I assume so. I never use the radio itself, as I use a USB FD for my own music.). Bluelink maybe? I guess I'll find out soon.

After the car was picked up.
I had to re-pair the phone. Bluelink was still setup (I'm told) but haven't checked that yet. The version number was "still" 240718. This was the version number (I think but didn't take pictures of that screen when an update was trying to run) before. From memory, it was trying to update to 2503.something.

The service ticket said that "customer will have to reset his profile and preferences". I suspect that I drive it more, I will find something else to configure.

The suspicion from the service manager and tech is that the software that it "tried" to install (the 2503.something) was somehow corrupt. Who knows, really?

OTA worked fine on my 2025 Tucson Limited Hybrid. However, it did not fix the issues I have been having with the "Voice Command" button not registering or the Navigation being able to provide voice turn-by-turn instructions.

not much there unless you have an EV...but for me it did two things, improve my experoince unlocking with digital key on iOS and improved the CarPlay interface.
Thanks for the Link. I used it to reach out to Customer Care via web response as my dealer hasn't kept me informed on Hyundai's progress.

Hmmmmm......that March 2025 is the one that 2025 Hybrid Blue would NOT install for me. The dealer fixed the problem of the car continually saying it had installed and then asking again EVERY time I started the car. The fix, seemingly, was to "hard reset" the radio which means I have to update my profile and saved settings. I have only re-paired my phone so far and have NOT looked at the other stuff. IF your March 2025 update installs OK, please let us know. The dealer suspected a corrupt install file, so who knows? My car is now back to 240718 version of the software.
