I must be missing it, which is very possible :), but I see no difference between what I can do with my 2022 with Bluelink or Digital Keys, (or Digital Card) that is listed for the 2025. The difference is Apple now being able to access Digital Keys.....
It could be that I never setup Bluelink all the way on the 2022. It's over 3 years ago now....so I have no way of remembering what I did with it back then. It just surprised me when washing my wife's car on the driveway that the hatch on the new Tucson opened. I have washed her car on the driveway before when that didn't happen on the 2022. Oh well.

BTW, I used Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic on both cars. Very easy to put on and wipe off. Both cars (hers is a 2016 Red Fusion Hybrid) look very good.

? How would you reach in if locking the doors? Why lock the doors if the window is down....
I reach in along the open door (not through window) to hit the door lock button on the driver's door. If I stand between the door and the seat, it sees the FOB and thinks I have left it in the vehicle and refuses to lock (which is dumb programming - it shouldn't undo the lock action and blow the horn until you close the door with the FOB still inside).

BTW, without the FOB nearby, you can lock the doors using the driver's door button no matter how close to the inside of the vehicle you are - yes, even while sitting on the driver's seat. I tested it on my '23 Santa Fe.

I think you are missing what the whole discussion is. You can not use the lock button on the inside front door with the car turned off. Period. That is with or without the fob. My only caveat to that is if they changed it on the 2025 model. So your post about the door being opened makes no sense to me.

And if your Santa Fe is different, this why I don't like other models being used as an example.

That's why I began my first reply here with "I'm not sure..." and why I note my vehicle is a Santa Fe. And yes, my '23 Santa Fe is apparently different in this regard - I did just confirm that I can indeed lock my doors with the inside driver's door button without the FOB. In fact, it is much easier without the FOB because If the FOB is near the inside of the vehicle, my doors won't stay locked longer than a second. Even though I own a Santa Fe, I prefer this forum because it is much more active, and both vehicles have a lot of similarities. And frankly, I'm surprised for something like this the software would be different.
