Got in my 2022 Tucson Limited this morning and no sound. I googled the issue and came across this thread. I was going to take the negative terminal off but then I saw removing the fourth fuse from the bottom left was the 25 amp fuse related to the amplifier. Pulled it out for a minute and the sound was restored. Don't know if this is going to happen again but at least I know what to do when it does. I'm going to keep a small pair of needle, nose and extra fuses just in case. Thanks everyone for the help.
You need to have the amp replaced under warranty if it keeps happening.

There were posts on this forum stating that replaced amplifiers have the same problem.
I saw one post, from a car that did not seem like it was part of the run of cars that had the amplifier problem say that, making it seem to me that person has a different problem. If there are others I did not see them. Maybe you have links to more?

My perspective, besides all that - you have a warranty, most if not all people had the work done had the problem fixed. Why live with that if indeed someone said it did not fix it when so many said it did, and wait till the warranty is over?

Hyundai Tucson 2023 here. I’ve been waiting three weeks for the new amp part from the dealership. They told me it’s on back order with no ETA. Anyone have any updates on an ETA?

We were told the same today. Out dealership didnt even tell us how to reset to restore it— glad I found this thread. And they told us part could take A YEAR to receive. I didnt buy a brand new car to have zero sound. This is insane.

OMG that is horrific. I may have to try calling the Hyundai dealership I bought my car from or even Hyundai themselves to lodge a complaint. I can’t drive a brand new car with zero safety warnings for a year as well… this is madness.

No recall for all cars at all needed. It is a known issue with amp, only in certain ones built during a limited time. There is a TSB for it.
Hey Tampa8 can you direct me to the TSB? Not sure I know what it is. I have this same issue happening the third time and the vehicle has less than 14k miles.

Can you explain what that means? I have had this issue a couple time and tried to explain it to the service department at the dealership and they said with out them experiencing it - they don’t know how to fix it

I am experiencing this in my 2020. Can you explain where I would find this “TBS” ?
Does not apply to older models different equipment. As the post says some 2022 to 2023.
(Note it's called a TSB - Technical Service Bulletin, TBS is a Cable channel.) The TSB is on the NHTSA site.

NO updates here on ETA, they've replaced my amp and my radio and neither fixed the problem. Was first told 2-3 weeks for part, when that was up was told 4 weeks, and now I'm being told no ETA. I've had my car 11 months and have had no radio (or more importantly no hands free driving option since I live in California and NEED to be on the phone for emergencies for work) for almost 8 months now.

I just had my 2023 Tuscon Limited in the dealership for this same reason today. They disconnected the battery and it worked for 2 days. The dealership now says they need to order a new radio because there is an internal failure and it could take 1-3 months.

Did you show them the TSB?

I have a 2022 tuscon- bought 1 year ago yesterday. Radio quit working in the winter- took a month to get a diagnosis appointment- they said it was the amp. Took a couple months to order replacement part. Quit working again 3 weeks ago- told part is on back order with no eta. I have filled a complaint with Hyundai- this is insane.. hoping the second replacement works when they can get me one- but I’m not hopeful. Stinks to pay this much for a new vehicle that is a pile of junk…

Curious what was your compliant?

I had an initial complaint that the radio quit working and the second complaint with Hyundai was that the radio quit working again. The second complaint was an Escalated complaint whatever that means..
