Canada driver here. I ordered my Amazon Grey PHEV in Jan 2024 and got it available in April! Just a 3 months of waiting! Interestingly I didn't get any email from Hyundai Canada or the dealership. I occasionally check on dealership's website for new vehicle in inventory and found that they had 2 new Amazon Grey with VIN in stock, then I called them to check my order status, they said hey your Tucson is available soon. I copied the VIN from web, it turned out one of the in stock Tucson was actually mine! So far in a few days of driving in full EV mode, I love my Tucson PHEV!

I ordered a Tucson Trend in blue October 2023 and only now, April 23, 2024 am I getting it. Ridiculous! Made in Korea vs. US get built in Alabama. I have been complaining for a wh but i seems the dealer has no pull. I found another dealer with 8 on their lot; mine? Just one for demo use. Not pleased!

I have not seen any different problems built in Korea or U.S. so not sure there is a meaning to the difference? If there is a dealer with 8 available and one that you want why not buy it there?

It appears to be inefficient to produce these vehicles in Korea just on the transportation to Canada is the point. As far as my order, it involved a trade-in at the time of ordering so I couldn’t go to another dealer. The point I am making here is my dealer was not getting the supply like other area dealers were getting. And you quoted a favourable time frame to get your vehicle versus my experience.
