I ordered mine in Aug 2022, they took my deposit and gave me a quote for a 2022 HEV but when I signed the paperwork in March it was a 2023 HEV.
My friend said there was one available on Saturday at Pine View West in Brampton, don't know if it's gone by now but could try calling them?
Thank you @kentledge , I’ll connect with my dealers first thing tomorrow to see what they are upto. They promised April delivery before. Any idea if Hyundai iss still doing 2023 HEV?

Hi everyone! New member here. I put a deposit down for a Tucson PHEV Ultimate in September 2022, but I haven't received any emails or communications from Hyundai. Is this normal? I do call the dealership periodically to check on the status, but they don't seem to have any information either.

Is there any way to check what place I am in line or anything like that?

Thanks in advance!

I made a $500 deposit in February 2022. In Feb 2023, I was contacted by the Ottawa area dealer who had a customer that had declined their order of a Ultimate PHEV what had identical specs of what I had asked for. I accepted the deal and the car is to be here in the first week of May 2023, delayed by a month as the ship to Canada was late.

It looks like there were no new orders sent to Hyundai since Jan 2022. Check this FORUM, there ARE lot's of good info from ppl waiting for vehicles. Our order was submitted to Hyundai in Dec 2021, our car is in a shop to Canada. So all in all 17-18 months wait time. Don't expect anything from Hyundai until your dealership manages to enter the order into the system. As much as I know, nothing is happening. PHEV are stop-gap step, who knows if they are going to make PHEV's a year from now. Tuscon is a big seller for them, but it all depends if ppl jump on EV's. IONIQ 5, 6 AND 9. Good luck.

Me too, made a deposit of $1000 for an Ultimate HEV in the beginning of March 2023. When I made the deposit, the dealer said it would take about 4 months. After a week, when I called the dealer he said he has placed the order to Hyundai but has no idea on when will it come. Not even an estimate.

Which dealer was it? I had placed with Toronto. I think you should be getting it by then because my Salesperson just told me it’s expected in early Q3 as there is shipping issue and I didn’t even get any information from Hyundai about the Vin or anything 😜. I am losing patience because I don’t have any car this is my first.

Same scenario here 😅 my first car. I placed it in London,ON. I don't have any info other than the receipt they gave me for the deposit. I have no idea on what's the process there after. So I'm in the dark and just waiting. No VIN, no ETA, nothing.

I'm a new poster to this thread... but I've been a reader for about a year when I first put a $500 deposit on a Tucson HEV Ultimate. At first it was exciting because the wait for a new car. As well, the Hyundai dealership said my Tucson would be about 3 months or so. Then as the 6th month dragged on, they said it wouldn't be an ordering system anymore, instead it would be an allocation system. I waited for about 5 months after that piece of bad news. Finally at the beginning of April I decided to go in there and check the ETA. I talked to the general manager who told me some good and bad news. The good news was my Tucson is gonna be here in a month or so... and the bad news is that, due to dealer adjustment prices, it will be marked up $5000 past the MSRP... He pretty much admitted that but since it is illegal to do, he said the block heater is about $2000, doubled the administration fees, and doubled the shipping costs. I called him a swindler, got my deposit back, and left, having known that a good year of car ownership has been wasted and that another pigeon will walk through that door. Don't be that pigeon.

This isn’t fair, how can they double the admin and shipping cost which is like fixed everywhere

Not sure about the post above yours, it isn't illegal in any Canada Provinces to get over MSRP - I see a few over time posters from Canada thinking it is. It has to be sold at the advertised price whatever the dealer says that price is.

You are from Alberta aren't you ? This sounds very much like Alberta. I am in Calgary, I am waiting for PHEV for 14 months now, and I got offered probably 3 so far. The cheapest of them was 6k$ over MSRP.. Dealers out here is just insane ...

Don’t lose hope guys. I just got my brand new Tucson HEV Ultimate last week after a 2 month wait.

I suggest you keep contacting your dealer every 2 weeks. This is what I did, the car that I got was a dealer allocation and it wasn’t the exact color and trim that I ordered but since I kept contacting them they offered it to me at MSRP and I picked it up 2 days after they called.

i guess it also helped since I had a 3 year old car to trade in. Nevertheless, just keep asking cause you’ll never know if you get lucky withn an allocation.

Where are you located? Also HEV market is way different from PHEV market. There is about 50 HEVs for each PHEV :D

Yeah, Ontario seems to be on different level. Even PHEVs are available for MSRP sometimes.

In Alberta, if you can find a HEV for MSRP without any stupid winter package to hike the price you are lucky.
For the 3 or 4 PHEVs I got offered they ranged from 6k to 10k over MSRP which is just fking nuts.
That’s crazy, I’d rather just get a tesla at that price range and have it ready in a few weeks
